Sariñana, Lucybell, Molotov and Caifanes at ‘Vive Latino 2015’

Molotov, Tinariwen, Caifanes, Nacho Vegas, NOFX, The Specials, The Vaccines, Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters, Garbage, Interpol, Die Antwoord and Los Ángeles Negros, are some of the musical proposals that the 16th edition of the Vive festival will present Latin.

  • As every year, the meeting will take place at the Foro Sol, on March 13, 14 and 15, where the groups Nortec Collective Presents will also perform: Bostich + FussibleLumumba, Aterciopelados, Babasónicos, Bomba Estéreo, Violentango, Iraida Noriega and The Groovy Band; False Aces and Catupecu Machu.
  • The announcement was made this Thursday through social networks and the official page of Vive Latino, the latter saturated at the time of the unveiling of the poster that also includes Jorge Drexler, Sonido Gallo Negro, San Pascualito Rey, Telefunka, Brought and Tricycle Circus Band.
  • A poster with a white background and details in different shades of blue and red, also reveal the names of Siddharta, Soja, Ximena Sariñana, 2 Minutos, A Band of Bitches, El Columpio Asesino, Jandro, Lucybell, Los Románticos de Zacatecas, Instituto Mexicano del Sonido & Toy Selectah and Cartel de Santa, among twenty others.

‘The Black Angels’

  • EL Vive Latino has also presented surprises such as the inclusion of Los Ángeles Azules two years ago in one of its main stages, while this year, Los Tigres del Norte received an ovation from young people; now it will be the turn of Los Ángeles Negros to captivate the public of this meeting.
  • The Ibero-American Festival of Musical Culture Vive Latino was created in 1998 in order to give a space to bands and exponents whose banner is rock in Spanish; Over time, the meeting has been transformed and recently bands in English have been included.

  • Its stage has witnessed revivals such as Tijuana No! Maldita Vecindad and Los Hijos del Quinto Patio ; Zurdok, The Fabulous Cadillacs and Caifanes.
  • In addition, international bands such as Foster the People, Gogol Bordello, Kasabian, Screaming Headless Torsos, Tv on The Radio, Blur, Underworld, AFI, Nine Inch Nails, Placebo, Twenty-One Pilots, Yeah Yeahs and The Chemical Brothers have performed, for quote a few.
  • The 16th edition will include four stages, the Ambulante cinema tent, the ‘Gozadero’ tent and, as is tradition, part of the Tianguis Cultural del Chopo, as well as the area of ​​independent record labels, where the public will find attractive musical proposals.
